Some of the most ideal Turkey holidays can be enjoyed at a beach resort such as Patara Beach, Belcekiz Beach or Sedir Island and Cleopatra’s Beach. Cleopatra’s Beach also known as Cleopatra’s Island purportedly has some of the best sand in the world and legend has it that Marc Anthony had some of this sand delivered to Cleopatra for her enjoyment.
Patara Beach is one of the largest stretches of beach in the Mediterranean – spanning over 18km and described as the ‘Turquoise Coast’ so called for its seemingly never-ending sea line. A great nearby local is the Viewpoint Hotel which offers great facilities and services.
Belcekiz Beach is the beach of choice for promoters of Turkey and many an advert for Turkey holidays will depict this most photographed sea resort. A most spectacular setting with its deep blue lagoon and high mountains that when scaled unleash the most beautiful scenes of the coastal life that lies below. The accommodation in this area is very reasonable and is ideal for people who have come on Turkey holidays to enjoy exploring the surrounding natural sights.
On Sedir Island you can enjoy some of the most glorious sands that cover a beach. Nicknamed Cleopatra’s Island because she allegedly had Marc Antony ship sands from the beaches of the Red Seas delivered to Sedir specifically for her own pleasure. While there is no accommodation available on this small island nearby provinces of Marmaris and Ula have plenty of places to stay covering everyone’s budgets.
Turkey holidays have become one of the most sought after ahead of the likes of Spain and Greece because of its fantastic beaches along the coast and great sight on the mainland. You will find plenty of affordable and attraction accommodation where ever you stay on Turkey holidays. |
